Wonderful Weekend Ahead; Scattered Storms Next Week

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will be an absolutely beautiful day with sunshine and warm temperatures after some foggy conditions his morning. The UV Index will be high, so be sure to use sunscreen and drink water while outside. These conditions will last through the weekend before more scattered showers and storms kick off the next work week. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

Temperatures will gradually rise through the 4th of July weekend as sunny skies continue to grace the area. As we continue through the rest of the week, be sure to listen to your body if you are outside for an extended period of time. Heat related illness will still be an issue, especially for those sensitive to the heat. Pay attention to any symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and take the appropriate precautions if you feel ill.

As the weekend ends, the chances of scattered showers will gradually increase starting on Monday. A few disturbances coming through will weaken a bit, making rainfall and storms less widespread. Despite this, some storms may pack some gusty winds and moderate rainfall totals from Monday through the rest of the extended forecast. Here’s the 7-Day Forecast:
