Woman Arrested For Two Armed Robberies In McDowell County

MCDOWELL, CO., WV (WOAY) – West Virginia State Police arrested a female who admitted to two armed robberies in McDowell County.

State Police say, an armed robbery occurred at the General Store in Lex on Christmas Eve where a female, armed with a pistol, robbed the store’s clerks at gunpoint. The WV State Police Welch Detachment is investigating the crime.

A second armed robbery occurred today at the Marathon station in Iaeger by a female armed with a pistol. The McDowell County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating the second crime. Money was taken from both locations and appeared to be the same female and mode of operation.

State Police tell WOAY News, Angela Pistorius, 36, from Iaeger was questioned concerning the investigations and admitted to committing both crimes.

She was arrested for 2 counts of First Degree Armed Robbery, as well as an outstanding warrant for Fraudulent Schemes.
