BLUEFIELD, WV (WOAY) – A woman has been arrested after reporting an overdose, but was under the influence of meth and heroin and had been driving with her child.
According to court documents, officers responded to an apartment after reports of an unresponsive man. Upon arrival, officers observed Hanna Hylton waiving and directing officers to the apartment.
While treating the man, officers attempted to locate Hylton who was trying to flee the scene with her six year old child. Officers observed Hylton to be highly intoxicated and transported her to Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Hylton admitted to injecting herself with meth and heroin earlier that morning and driving from Roncerverte to Bluefield. After being released from the hospital, Hylton was arrested and charged with DUI and child neglect. She is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a $10,000 cash only bond.
