GHENT– On Saturday, March 4, 2017 Winterplace Ski Resort will host the annual Beckley area Polar Plunge at 3:00 P.M. to benefit Special Olympics of Southern West Virginia. Registration for the Polar Plunge starts at 2:00 P.M. at the Winterplace Mountain House.
Each participant must raise a minimum of $50 for the privilege to plunge, and the more money participants raise the more prizes they receive. The money generated from the Polar Plunge enables thousands of Special Olympics West Virginia athletes to have opportunities for year-round sports training and competition.
“The Polar Plunge is a great event to help Special Olympics of WV raise money for their hardworking athletes”, said Tom Wagner, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We are excited to host this event year after year and be a part of a great cause.” added Wagner.
