Winter Storm Warnings For Snow Have Been Issued For Parts Of Our Area

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – More snow is on the way!

WARNINGS: The following counties are under a Winter Storm Warning- Southeast Raleigh, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas, Southeast Webster, Northwest Pocahontas, and Northwest Greenbrier Counties until 2 PM Wednesday.

ADVISORY: The following counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory- Northwest Webster, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Raleigh, Wyoming, McDowell, Mercer, Summers, and Tazewell County, Virginia until Noon Wednesday.

A Winter Storm Warning For Snow Means Severe Winter Weather Conditions Will Make Travel Very Hazardous Or Impossible. If You Must Travel, Keep An Extra Flashlight, Food And Water In Your Vehicle In Case Of An Emergency.

A Winter Weather Advisory For Snow Means Periods Of Snow Will Cause Primarily Travel Difficulties. Be Prepared For Snow Covered Roads And Limited Visibilities, And Use Caution While Driving.

AMOUNTS: If you are under a Winter Storm Warning you can expect 4-6″ of snow with isolated amounts as high as 10″.  If you are under a Winter Weather Advisory you can expect 1-4″.

Slick travel will be a problem with snow covered roads, be sure to give yourself extra time and slow down.  Most of the snow will taper off in the morning hours but we will still see on and off snow showers continue through the day Wednesday.
