Wind Chill Advisory In Effect

OAK HILL (WOAY) – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for our area starting at 9 pm tonight through 6 pm Thursday.

The counties included in the Wind Chill Advisory are:

Eastern Fayette

  • Greenbrier
  • Mercer
  • Monroe
  • Eastern Nicholas
  • Pocahontas
  • Summers
  • Tazwell
  • Eastern Webster

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves. Wind Chill values will range between -5° to -15°!
