West Virginia Hunting Season Roundup

The facts and figures are in for this years deer and bear hunting seasons in Southern West Virginia.  In 2016, West Virginia hunters killed a little more than 110,000 white tail deer and more than 3000 black bears.  Good mast conditions translated into average hunting totals, but the Division of Natural Resources knows that means next years numbers will be that much stronger.  The owner of Cardinal Sporting Goods says his sales were a bit flat this year, but he’s optimistic things will be a lot better with the coal economy on the rise.
