WOAY – West Virginia men’s basketball had a quick turnaround following Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma State, but the Mountaineers responded by defeating TCU 82-66 Monday to split the regular season series.
Teddy Allen led the Mountaineers with 16 points off the bench, while James “Beetle” Bolden contributed 14; Daxter Miles Jr. led the WVU starters with 13 points.
The latest college basketball polls were released earlier Monday, with the Mountaineers dropping to #20 in both the Associated Press and Coaches, after being ranked 19th & 17th, respectively, a week ago. Monday’s win means WVU has taken three of its last four.
The Mountaineers head to Kansas Saturday night looking to split their season series with the Jayhawks, who won in Morgantown last month.
