West Virginia American Water accepting applications for 2020 Firefighting Support Grants

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia American Water announced today that applications are now being accepted for the company’s 2020 Firefighting Support Grant program. Firefighting Support Grants are intended to provide financial assistance to fire and emergency organizations serving communities in the company’s designated service areas.

“Investing in community fire protection is critical to the health and safety of our customers and employees,” said Robert Burton, president of West Virginia American Water. “We applaud the service of our firefighters and first responders who serve on the frontlines daily to enhance public safety in communities across West Virginia.”
