WELCH– Two McDowell County teens are facing multiple drug charges after a burglary investigation.
Friday morning the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office was assisting the Bluefield West Virginia Police Department on a burglary case that happened in their jurisdiction. They went to a home at 396 Stewart Street in Welch.
Deputies found a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, Suboxone, and us currency. Tony Eugene Ward Jr. a black 19 year old man from Welch was arrested on charges of possession of crack cocaine a schedule i controlled substance and possession of a schedule iii controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and felony conspiracy.
Joseph Patrick Wellman, a 19 year old white man from Welch is facing charges of possession of a schedule iii controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana possession of a schedule i controlled substance and felony conspiracy. Both subjects were arraigned before magistrate Richard Vandyke and a bond of $56,000 was set for both. They were both remained into the McDowell County holding unit awaiting transport to the South Western Regional Jail.
