Weather Update: Patchy Frost To The Dog Days In The Next Week

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Following a night of patchy frost in the deeper valleys of western Pocahontas and Greenbrier County, we are starting our journey back to the heat and humidity.

TEMPERATURE TREND: Low temperatures at daybreak Friday will range from 40 degrees in most of the area to 32 degrees in western Pocahontas and Greenbrier County. Davis, W.Va., will likely produce the U.S.’s coldest low temperature Friday morning. Then, we take a turn back the other way and reach the middle 80s by Tuesday with very humid weather. A cold front promises to return cooler, less humid weather late Thursday into early next weekend.

RAIN/THUNDER: A warm front will trigger showers and thunderstorms Sunday before daybreak. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon between 2-6 p.m. could be a renegade storm. Thursday will bring the severe thunderstorm and heavy rain risk.
