Wanted Oak Hill Man Arrested After Drugs, Cash Found In Underwear

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – A wanted Oak Hill man is in jail this evening after Fayette County Deputies find drugs and cash in underwear.

Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department received information regarding the possible location of a wanted man in Glen Jean. They were able to make contact with the subject who was wanted by the United States Marshals Service for a federal probation violation. The subject, Kevin M. Settle of Oak Hill, was on federal probation stemming from a drug trafficking conviction.

When taken into custody, deputies located over an ounce of methamphetamine, over 1.5 grams of heroin, 138 pills, 2.5 grams of marijuana and over $500 dollars cash, all hidden in his underwear. Deputies then charged Settle with 3 felony counts of Possession With the Intent To Deliver Schedule I and II Narcotics, 2 counts of Possession With Intent To Deliver Schedule IV Narcotics, and was served with an outstanding domestic violence warrant.

Settle was arraigned by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office following his arrest. He was unable to post the $100,000 bond set by the magistrate and was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail.
