Uber is now providing transportation, to and from, the airport as of this weekend. The contract between the ride-booking service and Yeager was finalized on Thursday at Charleston’s Commission meeting.
The on demand car service has become so popular across the United States, and for different reasons.
Before this weekend, Uber drivers would be fined if they even entered the airport grounds, but as of Friday, these drivers now even have designated parking spaces where they can wait until they receive a ride request.
A law that took effect last year allows Uber to offer rides throughout the entire state of West Virginia. However, as of last July, Uber has only began offering rides in Charleston and Morgantown, but are planning on offering rides in other cities, such as Beckley and Clarksburg, by the end of this year.
