ViaAir Service Suspended

The Greenbriar Valley Airport Authority suspended ViaAir service over the weekend, possibly violating federal regulations. Aviation expert, Ross Aimer and ViaAir’s Vice President of Operations, Matthew Macri state that only the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. Department of Transportation have the authority to suspend air service.

Airport manager, Stephen Snyder said Sunday, the decision to halt ViaAir operations is temporary. He has said an emergency board meeting is being scheduled to address the issue.

The reason ViaAir flights were halted at Greenbriar Valley currently remain unknown.
