BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A special event was held today at the Beckley VA Auditorium.
Veterans at the VA took part in the yearly event that lets them send gifts to their families and friends for the holidays. The Medical Center partners up with the American Legion Auxiliary to provide the donated gifts at no cost to the veterans. This event is for those who may not have presented to send to their loved ones.
“Personally, it is emotionally, physically fulfilling due to the fact that those veterans have given so much out of their lives for us to be able to do what we do every day,” said Rhonda Best, American Legion Auxiliary President.
