Snowshoe, WV (WOAY) – Upgrades are coming soon for a popular Pocahontas County ski area.
In a Facebook post, Snowshoe Mountain Resort announced that in March, they plan to break ground on a new and improved Shavers Center on the mountain.
The new, modern version of the original Shavers Center that served the mountain for nearly 50 years will feature interior improvements as well as a large outside deck with firepits and extra seating. The new building will have a more comfortable atmosphere for folks to gather, rest, and dine. The new facility will also help improve programming for the Kids World & Pre-Ski programs.
The new Shavers Center is expected to open in time for the 2025, 2026 winter ski season.
