UPDATE: Raleigh County Man Arrested For Shooting A Man Twice, Charged With Attempted Murder

UPDATE: NAOMA, WV (WOAY) – A Raleigh County man is in jail for attempted murder after he entered a home and shot a man.

According to court documents, Willis Gunnoe told Deputies that a man entered his home and shot him while he was sitting in his recliner.  The man was identified as Ricky Glass from Beaver.

Glass was interviewed by deputies and said he went to the house in order to assist in retrieving property given to the victim by another individual.

Glass admitted that he shot two times inside the residence after entering without permission.  Glass advised the shots were exchanged when Gunnoe appeared to be reaching for something in the recliner.

Glass is charged with attempted first-degree murder, burglary, and malicious wounding. He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 200,000 dollar bond.


NAOMA, WV (WOAY)- A shooting Thursday morning  led to one being shot at their residence. The shooting happened in the  1200 block of Drews Creek Road in Naoma.

Willis Ray Gunnoe, 54 years old, was shot at his residence. The condition is unknown at this time and the incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
