UPDATE: Case involving a man who killed another man while on UTV will go to Grand Jury

UPDATE (Friday, June 5, 2020, at 11:15 am) PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – Probable cause was found in a fatal UTV crash.

Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler tells WOAY that Ricky Olivo Jr. appeared before Magistrate Susan Honaker on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Evidence was presented to Honaker that determined there was probable cause found and that the case would be presented to a Grand Jury.

Olivo is accused of crashing into a UTV that killed a man and seriously injuring his wife.

Olivo was under the influence of at least two controlled substances.

UPDATE: (Monday, May 25, 2020, at 11 am) – PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – One person is facing charges after hitting a UTV, killing one, and injuring a second person.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:30 pm on Sunday, May 24, on Crane Creek road near Montcalm.  A Jeep Cherokee driven by Ricky Olivo Jr of Woodstock Virginia hit a UTV head-on killing the driver of the UTV Corey McKinney and seriously injuring his wife, Sabrina McKinney.  She was life-flighted from the scene, and her condition is unknown at this time.

Mr. Olivo is being charged with DUI resulting in death, DUI causing serious bodily injury and driving suspended.

Trooper J. L. Wood is the lead investigator in this case.


MONTCALM, WV (WOAY) – State Police are investigating an ATV crash that resulted in one person dead and another airlifted to a nearby hospital.

According to State Police Princeton Detachment, the accident happened around 2 pm this afternoon. An ATV and a vehicle collided on Crane Creek Road in Montcalm. One person died, and a second person was injured.

Authorities did not release names or which vehicle the victims were driving, but more information is expected to be released.
