UPDATE: Man’s Identity Released After Standoff With Police

UPDATE: (Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 5:00 pm) – GLEN JEAN, WV (WOAY) – All is secure following a standoff with a subject in Hilltop.

A call of a domestic situation was dispatched to Sheriff’s Deputies today at the Mountainair Mobile Home Park. The subject in question left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement. A short time later the vehicle said to be occupied by an involved party was spotted by Oak Hill Police. A short pursuit ensued that ended back at Mountainair.

The man is Douglas Kincaid, 38, of Fayetteville was arrested.  Charges are pending at this time.

A standoff with numerous law enforcement officers on scene ensued. The subject eventually surrendered peacefully and was taken for evaluation. An investigation will be conducted involving all of the circumstances from the incident, which may take some time.

“Members of the FCSD, the WVSP, the Oak Hill Police Department and the Fayetteville Police Department worked together for a peaceful solution in this situation,” said Sheriff Fridley. “We appreciate the Glen Jean/Hilltop community for their patience and cooperation in this matter, thus rendering the scene much safer for everyone”.

GLEN JEAN, WV (WOAY) – Police are currently on scene of a standoff in Glen Jean. The man is barricaded inside his car with a gun.

Legends Highway in Glen Jean in front of Cold Spot to Red Start Cut Off Road in Hill Top is shut down at this time.  A police pursuit started in Fayette County and the man diving his vehicle stopped at Mountain Air Mobile home park.

WOAY was the first on the scene of a man that barricaded himself inside the car with a gun and is listening to loud music.

Multiple Police departments are on the scene, along with Jan Care Ambulance.
