UPDATE: I-77 reopens after truck fire

UPDATE: FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – All lanes of I-77 have reopened after a truck caught on fire Tuesday afternoon.

Dispatchers tell WOAY that no injuries occurred.  A truck crashed, causing diesel fuel to spill down a hill, which caught a sewer pipe to catch fire.

Emergency officials cleared the scene shortly before 7 pm.


FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A truck fire on I-77 is causing delays.

A truck fire is on I-77 northbound near the Mossy exit at MM 63. There are no words on any injuries. Both northbound lanes are closed.
