UPDATE: Bluefield Victim Dies, New Charges Being Brought To Suspects

BLUEFIELD (WOAY) – The victim of a shooting that occurred in Bluefield has died and new charges are being brought against the suspects.

Multiple media outlets report The victim of a Wednesday shooting died Thursday, and the charges against the suspect were upgraded to first degree murder.

Authorities said Roderick Quincy, 43, of Baltimore, died at a Charleston Area Medical Center.

BLUEFIELD– Two men have been arrested after a shooting took place in Bluefield on Wednesday morning.

According to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Jospeh Wellman of Welch and Juwan Rowe of Bleufield have been charged with malicious wounding and first degree armed robbery.

Roderick Quincy from baltimore was shot around 9 AM Wednesday morning at the intersection of Carolina Avenue and Elm Street in Bluefield. Quincy suffered a gun shot wound to the head and is currently on life support at a Charleston Hospital.

The suspects were found on North Street in Beckley. Three other people who were in the car with the victim at the time of the shooting are also in custody and charges may be pending against them.
