Beckley, WV (WOAY)- United Way of Southern West Virginia is launching an initiative to build stronger communities with women leading the charge.
Women United is a philanthropy group of female leaders raising funds for United Way’s programs and initiatives.
Local members of Women’s United will be women leaders who donate at least $250 per year.
Leaders will work on sub-committees for events and volunteer opportunities.
Additionally, members will get updates on networking, social opportunities, educational programs, and volunteer events.
Women who qualify for membership based on 2023-2024 campaign gifts to United Way are invited to the inaugural Women United luncheon, which will be held on Monday, March 17, at noon at the Black Knight Municipal Building.
Any woman interested in joining can become a member by making a qualifying donation of $250 or $25 per month.
