Republican Candidate for the U.S. Senate, Patrick Morrisey, spent Tuesday in Beckley talking taxes and touring a local business.
Morrisey toured Phillip’s Machine Service with Beckley city leaders. He got a first-hand look at the different mining machines and shuttle cars. Morrisey said President Trump needs to come to the Mountain State and take the same tour. The State Attorney General also touted the President’s tax cuts and his care for coal.
“This President cares a lot about coal and about steel and I think that we just have to play the long game here, which is you give the President that extra flexibility, really things are going to happen for this country.”
Morrisey will face off with incumbent Democratic Senator Joe Manchin in the upcoming November election.
