Two people land in jail following drug charges

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Two land in jail on drug charges from a traffic stop in Fayette County.  Sheriff Mike Fridley released the following information regarding this incident.

A Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement last night in the Hico area on US Route 60. The Deputy executed a stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction around 11:00 PM. A search of the vehicle located multiple individually packaged bags of methamphetamines, marijuana and a wax substance that will be sent off for identification, along with US Currency.

The suspects, who claim to have recently moved to the Oak Hill area, Matthew Boone (32) and Tara Keener (37) were arrested and charged with the felony offenses of Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.  They will now await court proceedings.
