Two People Found Passed Out In A Vehicle From Drugs In Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY (WOAY) – Monroe County Deputies found two people who were passed out on drugs.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 31, 2018,  upon arrival Deputy McCormick noticed a white Subaru Outback running with a male later identified as Mr. Jason Tucker in the drivers seat slumped over the steering wheel and having a digital scale and a small plastic green container with several small individual baggies commonly used for the distribution of controlled substances containing a crystal-like substance.

Upon waking Mr. Tucker up and having him step out of the vehicle he had several more small baggies commonly used for the distribution of controlled substances containing a crystal-like substance in them in his hands. Mr. Tucker was at that time detained.

The female passenger later identified as Mrs. Angela Battaile was woken and detained. Deputy H.A. Ware and Cpl. M.J. Heller arrived on scene and assisted with the vehicle search and detaining of the suspects. Deputy McCormick and Deputy Ware transported the suspects to the Union Office of the Monroe County Sheriffs Department. Mrs. Battaile was read and signed her Miranda Rights form and stated that the substance found was Methamphetamine and she is a user, her husband Mr. Tucker is also a user who will sale some to pay for their habit.

Mrs. Battaile states that Mr. Tucker had given her Meth 5 or 6 times in the last three days. Mrs. Battaile was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance and released. Mr. Tucker was read and signed his Miranda Rights form and stated he did have intention of selling the Methamphetamine and that he had given Mrs. Battaile Meth two times in the last three days.

Mr. Tucker was arrested for possession with intent to deliver and 2 counts of delivery of a controlled substance. Mr. Tucker was arraigned by the Monroe County Magistrate Court and made a $5000.00 bond. More charges will be brought forward in this case and prosecution is pending.
