Two People Arrested In Raleigh County For Animal Cruelty

COOL RIDGE, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people for animal cruelty.

On March 07, 2018 the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua and Amy Hall for animal cruelty. Sgt. B.D. Stump charged the couple with animal cruelty after it was discovered that they left a dog in a residence that they had vacated weeks earlier.

According to the investigation the dog was starving and near death. The dog was able to survive as long as it did by eating diapers and trash that was left in the residence.

Raleigh County Animal Control responded to the residence located on Blue Jay Six Road in Cool Ridge and took the dog to the Raleigh County Humane Society.

After being arrested Joshua and Amy Hall were transported to the Southern Regional Jail and were later arraigned and posted bond.
