Two People Are In Jail After Breaking Into A Raleigh County Home And Stealing Items

ARNETT, WV (WOAY) – Two arrested for after breaking into a home in Raleigh County and stealing valuable items.

According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, Richard Cox Jr. and Ashely McMillion entered a residence through an unlocked window. Once inside they took an Apple iPad, a Harrington Richardson 22 caliber revolver, a Browning 20 gauge pump shotgun, a Marlin 30-30 lever action rifle, a 22 handgun, and several other miscellaneous items.  All items taken were valued at around 1,200 dollars.

The victims neighbor observed the Richard exiting the front door carrying a large bag full of the items.

The defendant admitted he went through an unlocked window because he had seen on Facebook that the victim was out of town.

Richard Cox Jr. is charged with daytime burglary, grand larceny, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Ashely McMillion is charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.  Both are in the Southern Regional Jail. Cox is being held on a 25,000 dollar bond and McMillion is being held on a 4,000 dollar bond.
