Two Oak Hill heroes don't let I-95 traffic keep them from getting to their cruise ship

INTERSTATE 95 NEAR SAVANNAH, GA (WOAY) – It’s the definition of ‘Helping Hands.’

Two Oak Hill volunteer firemen were headed to Florida on I-95 this week when they hit a snag around Savannah, GA….Traffic.  Miles and miles and hours and hours of it.

Crawling along for six hours… they only moved 14 miles.

So they decided to do something about it and not risk missing the cruise they were booked on.

They got to the front of the back-up and pulled five trucks over to the shoulder, which freed traffic back up.

The duo sent us some video and Rachel Ayers plans to share their story with you later on WOAY NewsWatch at 5 and 6 p.m.
