Two Men From Florida Arrested In Lewisburg For Using Skim Cards To Purchase 52 Cartons Of Cigarettes

LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – The Lewisburg Police arrested a pair of Florida men for purchasing items with a skim card. Officers were called to the Go Mart in Lewisburg on Saturday  at approximately 7:00 pm when two males entered the store and purchased a large quantity of cigarettes.

A few minutes later they reentered the store and bought  another large quantity of cigarettes. While at Go Mart a individual called from Ohio and said his account was being used. Approximately 10 minutes later, the account was being used again. Officers located two male subjects that fit the description and they were later identified by store employees. Fifty Two cartons of cigarettes were taken into evidence.

Officers arrested Adam Elum Binyard-Pickens, 28 and Brian Anthony Doe, 26,  both of Gainesville Florida. They were charged with Fraudulent Use of aacess device, Conspiracy to commit a felony and transportation of unstamped cigarettes. Both men were lodged in the Southern regional jail in Beckley.

Ptlm. R.L. Crone and J.T. Williams are the investigating officers in this case. Members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Dept. and WV State Police also assisted.
