Two from Randolph County are facing drug charges out of Fayette County

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – A Randolph County pair is in jail on drug charges in Fayette County.

Sheriff Mike Fridley says, in the early morning hours this date, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on U.S. Route 19 in Oak Hill. The Deputy executed a stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. After a positive indication by a Sheriff’s K-9, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Located in the vehicle was a large number of methamphetamines, scales, packaging supplies, and a handgun.

Krysten Spencer, 25 of Elkins, is facing charges of Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

Michael Smith, 40 of Elkins, is also facing charges of Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. Smith also faces a charge of Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm, due to a prior robbery conviction in Kanawha County.
