Two Fayette County Men Arrested For Copper Theft

GLEN JEAN, WV (WOAY) – Two Fayette County men have been arrested for burglary and conspiracy for copper theft.

Everette Baker, 37, of Glen Jean, allegedly went under a homeowners crawl space while they were not at home and stole copper.  A neighbor watched Baker come out of the crawlspace and noticed another man being his lookout person and confronted them.  Mark Griffith told the neighbor that Baker had hidden some copper at the house and was just returning to get it.

Back in April, the deputy had been called to the neighbor’s house for copper theft and forced his way into the home.

Baker and Griffith are in the Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond each
