UPDATE: Two Cars Crash In Oak Hill

UPDATE: A motor vehicle accident in Fayette County sends two to the hospital.

At 2:00 pm today the Fayette County 911 Center received notification of a serious two car motor vehicle accident on U.S. Route 19 at the Appalachian Drive intersection. The accident resulted in the partial closing of the northbound lanes for about 90 minutes while crews worked to address the wreckage, and for the deputies to conduct an investigation. The two occupants of one vehicle were transported to the hospital with potentially serious injuries. The lone occupant of the other vehicle reported minor injuries, but refused EMS transport.

Crews from the Oak Hill and Fayetteville Fire Departments responded to the accident. This accident remains under investigation by Deputy A.K. Keenan and the Crash Unit of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, and were assisted by the Fayetteville Police Department.


OAK HILL (WOAY) – Two cars crash in Oak Hill causing injuries.

Dispatchers tell WOAY that the call came in around 2:15 pm Thursday afternoon on Route 19 at the Lochgelly exit. One vehicle ran a red light and struck another vehicle. It caused an SUV to flip over.  We are told there were injuries but we don’t know how many. Expect some traffic delays.

Jan-Care, Oak Hill Police, Oak Hill Fire, and Fayette County Sheriff ‘s Department responded to the scene.
