Two arrested on drug charges in Fayette County

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A man and woman have been arrested in Fayette County for dealing narcotics.

Sheriff Mike s Fridley says, over the last several days, the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force has been conducting controlled drug purchases in Fayette County as part of numerous narcotics investigations.

A search warrant was executed today on Jeffries Road, Fayetteville.  Debra Ann Mckean, 65, and Daniel Wayne Croft , 25, both of Fayetteville, were arrested and have each been charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. A small child was present in the residence and the Department of Health and Human Services was contacted to assist. Also located during the search was over $2,000 in U.S. currency, a sizeable amount of a substance consistent with heroin, and digital scales with packaging materials.

McKean and Croft were arraigned and unable to post the $50,000 bond set by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office and were remanded to the Southern Regional Jail.
