Two arrested after chasing, shooting at vehicle

PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – State police arrested two men who allegedly chased and shot at a vehicle yesterday evening.

Around 5 p.m. yesterday, state troopers responded to a vehicle chasing and shooting at another on Route 60 in Hurricane. Troopers found and stopped the vehicles involved. The victim’s vehicle suffered several bullet holes.

Authorities took everyone into custody for questioning. Authorities say Corey Perkins, 30, and Robert Barner, 24, admitted to chasing and shooting at the victim’s vehicle.

Perkins is charged with attempted murder and being a prohibited person possessing a firearm. Barner is charged with attempted murder and being a prohibited person possessing a firearm and a concealed firearm. Both are at Western Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
