Two Airlifted, Two More Transported To The Hospital After Car Crash In Summersville

SUMMERSVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Multiple people were transported to the hospital after a car crash in Nicholas County.

According to dispatch, the call came in around 10 am of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 19 southbound at Starbuck Road. The call was reported as hitting as losing control of the vehicle and hitting a tree. Route 19 was shut down for a little over an hour and has since been re-opened.

Two people were air-lifted to Charleston and two others were transported by ambulance to Summersville Regional.

The exact cause of what happened and the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.

Summersville Police Department is investigating the accident.
