Triple A warns of unsafe driving habits

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Motorists hit the road again as restrictions are lifted, but many practice unsafe driving habits.

A recent study conducted by AAA found that many drivers text and drive or drive while struggling to stay awake. What’s worse is that many drivers continue with these bad habits even after getting into an accident as a result.

“We have to take this seriously,” said AAA retail manager Autumn Bess. “We as drivers have to understand that there are real consequences to the things that we do while we are behind the wheel. We need to make sure that we are not just taking the talk but walking the walk.”

AAA reminds drivers not to text and drive and to make sure you refrain from speeding.
