Triple A offers summer vacation tips during COVID-19

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – As the country continues to reopen you may start to think about what to do for a summer vacation.

Many countries are still under lockdown, so international travel might not be your best choice. Cruises are also restricted, so travel agents suggest you look into visiting somewhere new within U.S. borders.

“I would recommend maybe even a beach location, however in some areas, it’s very hard to get a home or a condo,” said AAA travel agent Melissa Norris. “A lot of the resorts definitely are open. You would want to check there with them and see what their protocol is for check-in or what sanitation information has been taken in cleaning for CDC requirement.”

AAA recently ran a survey that resulted in data suggesting that road trips are the preferred method of travel this summer.
