WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY)- As many prepare to hit the road for Memorial Day Weekend, a new warning has been released about gas prices.
The average for a gallon across the country is two dollars and ninety-four cents which is a four year high for the holiday and twelve cents higher in just two week.
In order to save money on gas, when traveling drive at a normal speed and do not hit the gas pedal heavily after stopping at a light or in traffic.
According to the report from Gasbuddy, seventeen states in the United States are already at $3.00 per gallon as of Wednesday.
