Traffic stop in Raleigh County finds 10 grams of heroin

MACARTHUR, WV (WOAY) – A man from Ohio is in jail after heroin was seized during a traffic stop.

Deputy Redden with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in MacArthur.  During the stop, Deputy Redden’s K-9 partner was deployed and indicated the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle.

Located inside the vehicle was 10 grams of heroin packaged in individual half grams for resale along with $1,100 in cash.

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Davis of Ohio, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin. The heroin, the cash, and the SAAB vehicle were all seized.

Davis is currently in the Southern Regional Jail pending a $50,000 bond.
