GRAND VIEW (WOAY) – Toys for Tots hosted a golfing fundraiser at the Grand View Country Club.
Typically you hear about Toys for Tots during the holidays, but they also host summer fundraisers, as the need is year-round. Jay Quesenberry, the local Toys for Tots coordinator, says the need for donations will be higher than ever this year due to the pandemic.
“We feel like this year with the coronavirus pandemic the need is gonna be even much greater. So there’s an importance for having this. And of course we have a lot of fine sponsors, a lot of people supporting it and about 100 golfers out on the course on a beautiful day to play golf,” Quesenberry said.
More than 100 golfers tuned out and participated in the fundraiser.
