Todd Duncan wins Mountain State Golf Classic

DANIELS, WV (WOAY) – Todd Duncan added another title to his list of honors in the 2020 golf season, as he won the Mountain State Golf Classic fundraiser in Raleigh County this weekend.

Duncan, who will be a senior at Shady Spring High School this coming school year, won with a 54-hole score of -7, posting solid rounds at Grandview on Saturday, the Resort at Glade Springs’ Stonehaven course on Sunday, and the resort’s Cobb course on Sunday.

In the last month alone, Duncan won both the WVGA Junior Amateur and Junior Match Play championships, and was low area golfer at the West Virginia Open. In two weeks, he’ll play at the West Virginia Amateur at the Greenbrier, where he was one of the low juniors in 2019. He was also the individual medalist at the Class AA high school state golf championships last year.

Beckley’s Chris Daniels finished runner-up in the championship flight at -3.
