Three Arrested After Breaking Into A Home And Beating A Woman Over Stolen Food

BRADLEY, WV (WOAY) – Three are charged for breaking into a home and beating a woman up after they say she broke into their house and stole food.

According to a criminal complaint, on September 15, 2918, Christopher Hensley, Cyrstal Tolbert, and Kelley Spangler entered a home in Bradley by way of kicking the front door.  Deputies observed shoe prints on the front door and observed the defendants had thrown a rock through the front window.

The victim told deputies that the defendants broke in, beat her up, and left.  The victim suffered a scratch on her face, a bruise on her right leg, and a possible knee injury on her left leg.

The incident allegedly started because Crystal Tolbert accused the victim of stealing food from her residence next door earlier in the day.  Deputies searched Tolbert’s home and there were no signs of forced entry or any evidence that anyone had been in there.  While talking to the codefendant about this incident she stated to deputies that if she saw the victim out, she was going to fight her.

All three defendants are charged with destruction of property, battery, breaking and entering, burglary, and conspiracy to commit a felony.  All three are in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
