Raleigh County.,WV (WOAY) — Women, men and even children filled the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center for the 21st annual Women’s Expo.
Although the title may have you believe the event is designed for women, there was something for all ages and genders ranging from live animals, balloon makers and even musical guests.
Over 100 vendors from the area came to take part in the extravaganza. Several vendors also gave away small prizes including wedding packages and gift baskets.
Many of the vendors were grateful for the opportunity to engage with the public.
John Paul Kessinger a Theater West Virginia Employee said,
“I would like to thank everyone here who put on the Expo and for bringing the community together an having us businesses together showing off what were doing.”
Though the event ended today the staff already has plans to top this years event by adding even more vendors. They will begin planning for 2019 later this summer.
Jay Quesenberry Women’s Expo Director adds, “We spend probably six to eight months on it we start in August or September and work the booths along with creating ideas. He continued, “The good thing is we have a lot of experience doing it, this is my 18th year doing it.”
Jay also adds that the projected date for next years Women’s Expo will be the first weekend in March.
