BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – There are a lot of people traveling over the Christmas holiday. Some people are traveling by airplane, buses, trains, and then there are those driving to their destinations.
There are millions of people that are traveling over Christmas to spend the holiday with their family and friends.
One woman shares why she is traveling for Christmas.
“Right now we’re heading down through to North Carolina to Morrisville, and then we’re going to attend a Christmas party in Virginia, and then we’re traveling on to Florida to have Christmas with my daughter and her family down there.” Said Sherry Deniluk, traveling from Canada
Some travelers will be on the highway, driving thousands of miles, making more than one stop.
Another traveler shares the places her and her husband have been and where they’re going.
“We’ve actually been traveling to visit our family in Indinappolis and in Georgetown, Kentucky. We went down to visit the Biltmore state, which is absolutely spectacular and now we’re going up to visit some friends in St. Clairsville, OH.” Said Sue Tobin, traveling from Michigan
Those who have traveled the highways as a tradition this time of year, always make sure to thoroughly prepare their vehicle for the journey ahead.
