BECKLEY– The son of the man who led police on a manhunt last week has been arrested.
Jay Bare, the son of Randolph Stump, turned himself in to State Police on Thursday afternoon. Trooper Dunn tells us he was not expecting anymore arrests in the case after Stump and his girlfriend Malena Trent were arrested on Tuesday.
Bare told police he was the first one to fire shots in the Go-Mart area on Harper Road. He then drove the car as he and his father followed another car to Mama Lina’s where Stump then fired more shots.
Bare faces one felony charge of wanton endangerment. He has been arraigned and given a $25,000 bond.
