GREENBRIER COUNTY (WOAY)— Beep….. Beep….. Beep….. This is the sound of an emergency alert, also known as an Amber Alert, for missing children or a person.
An Amber Alert was issued Monday morning for Nicole Hall who was identified as missing. She is believed to be with a 21 year old male and a 27 year old male and is likely in a dangerous situation.
“It has to be a belief that the child is imminent danger, serious bodily injury or death and they have to be seventeen years of age or younger,” said Bruce Sloan , Greenbrier County Sheriff Department, explaining instances when Amber Alerts are issued.
Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan also shared how Amber Alerts the importance of these alerts in situations like Nicole Hall.
“Amber Alerts obviously are not issued in every situation. That’s why they have established such stringent criteria for those because when those are issued, it’s a real serious situation,” said Sloan.
Anyone who has any information about this alert, such as Nicole’s whereabouts or the type of vehicle being used, is asked to contact the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office. An Amber Alert can be issued for many days or until the person is found.
