FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY)- If you missed last year’s red-carpet glamour, don’t fret as the Historic Fayette Theater’s Gala is coming back.
The Historic Fayette Theater will be hosting a masquerade for this year’s gala. It will be held at the Gaines Estate on September 7th. Guests can enjoy a variety of things for this year’s event.
“We’re going to have cocktail hour. We’ll have a cash bar available, and then we’re going to be going up to the main house to have a wonderful dinner and that’s going to be catered by the Gaines Estate,” said Amy Bloomfield, Board member at Historic Fayette Theater. “We’re going to have a live jazz band that’s going to be fantastic. Lots of live music. We’re going to be having some silent auctions going on at the event, and we’re going to be having some raffles prior to the event that will be announcing at the at the gala.
Last year’s event was a benefit as they need to raise funds for some much-needed upgrading. It was a success in more way than one, so they are continuing it.
“Well, we had a blast last year, so we just wanted to have the gala again. But we’re also still raising funds, to match the federal funds that we’re getting. Here in the theater, we have several upgrades that need to be done,” explained Bloomfield. “We need electrical work done. We desperately need an HVAC system so we can have lots of event’s year round. So, we’re still working on matching those funds from the federal government. We are currently still needing that $80,000 in funds to fully match those funds that we need.

“They don’t have to have a mask but join in the fun and have a mask. We want everybody to be able to participate and enjoy the evening,” said Bloomfield.
You can buy tickets between now and August 23rd, but if you want a discount hurry! If you buy a ticket by July 31st, this Wednesday, you’ll receive a $10 discount.
