The Hidden Valley Center Knows Just What To Do To Get In The Holiday Spirit

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The Holiday season is a special time of year but it can be hard for those who are away from their homes or family members. That’s why the Hidden Valley Center plans special activities and events to get their residents in the holiday spirit.

” To get our residents prepared for christmas we try to get them excited by reminising of their old days, what they used to do and try to incoorporate that. Like string fruit loops on the tree, getting them involved in making decorations, we bring different schools in for caroling, we also take them out to see lacy lights, different things like that.” Said Christina Bass, Scheduling manager for The Hidden Valley Center

There are decorations and Christmas trees throughout the center and there is an important reason why they do their best to get the residents in the holiday spirit.

” So it’s important to keep them in a home like environment where they can enjoy christmas like they used too.”  Said Angie McGrady, Director of marketing admissions

Christmas dinner will be prepared and cooked for the residents and their families are invited to come eat with them. The residents will also have a special visit from Santa Clause on Christmas Day.
