Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) The roar of motorcycles will echo through southern West Virginia this week, all for a mission honoring America’s veterans.
The 2026 West Virginia Charity Ride kicks off Thursday, May 28, at Adventures on the Gorge, bringing together riders from across the Mountain State to raise money for the North Central West Virginia Honor Flight program.
The four-day wagon wheel-style ride will travel north, south, east, and west across the state, with multiple stops planned each day.
One of the first stops happens this morning in Beckley, where the West Virginia American Legion Motorcycle Club is expected to arrive at the Raleigh County Veterans and First Responders Museum between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m.
Organizers say anywhere from 70 to 100 riders are expected to participate. Donations collected throughout the event will go directly toward helping veterans travel to Washington, D.C. through Honor Flights.
The ride runs through Sunday, May 31.
