Thanksgiving Community Dinner

OAK HILL, WV – The Lewis Christian Community Center is providing a Thanksgiving Community dinner for those in need of a nice holiday meal and those who may not have family or friends that live in town and would like to come and fellowship with other people in the community. The Lewis Christian Community Center has been providing thanksgiving dinner to the community for 18 years. It all started with a woman named Dolly who saw the dire need that was in her local community. Over the course of 4 days, 300 volunteers help prepare each thanksgiving meal.
” First of all it’s important because there is a need in our community to be able to provide meals to families and individuals that don’t have meals. Second of all it gives folks an opportunity who may be shut-in or by themselves to come by and fellowship with us.” Said Lesley Taylor, Meal Coordinator
Those who put in a request for delivery will have their meals delivered to them tomorrow. Meals will also be ready for those who would like to pick up a meal for carry out. The dine in dinner will start at noon and last until 2:00 pm
